Since then the Tuggeranong Tornadoes have had a successful existence having won 4 Championships by winning the 'Capital Bowl', and have won the ACTG 'Charity Bowl' a record number of 9 times in its 16 year history. The 'Charity Bowl' is traditionally played between the previous years 'Charity Bowl' winner, and the previous seasons 'Capital Bowl' winner. As its name suggests, the 'Charity Bowl' signifies a time where ACTG makes donations to local charities. From 1998 onwards ACT Gridion has donated to the ACT Cancer Council in memory of a former player, Shane Gray who passed away as a result of Cancer in 1996.
The Tuggeranong Tornadoes continue to be a force in Gridiron in the ACT in the Senior (18+) competition, in the Junior Competition (14-18yo). They also have formed the first ever Womens Gridiron team in the ACT.
